The only thing on my agenda is BABY.  So, I feel bored, lots of the time.  Since BABy is afraid to come out and face me, which by this point it should be very afraid, I've had to fill my time with the stuffs I've wanted to do for a while...which isn't bad, I guess. (as I sob and sulk and throw myself a pity party.)

I've created a new blog site, one that will be easier to post and upload pictures too.  I'm still learning all the coolness about it, so it's rough but it's where the HOYT HAPPENINGS will be published from this day, hence forward.

In case you are one of the very few who read my other blogs, they will continue where they are.

TODAY, I FEEL LIKE THIS...

...BECAUSE I WANT TO BE DOING THIS, AND I'M NOT.

SO I CAN DO THIS AGAIN.

COME ON ALREADY.
I'VE DONE MY TIME, NOW RELEASE ME FROM THIS PRISON.

A celebration of Brothers.

The past week our family celebrated our brothers.  My brother left on his Mission and Jared's brother, Jason, who's been on his mission for 10 years now, was remembered.

Jared had a guys weekend of golf to
commemorate his brother who passed away 10 years ago.
It's always a special time when we remember Jason.
Jared and Jason shared friends throughout their lives so all of Jared's college buddies are also Jason's buddies.  They invited the women folk and their children to participate in a memorial evening where we stuffed ourselves, laughed and cried.
Here are the guys.
They made T-shirts with Jason's mission picture.
a.k.a. his mug shot.

Here is some of Jared's family with Jason's mission president.
It was a great time to remember a great guy.  I never met him (of course, that would make me 13 years old if I were to ever have met him) but I feel so lucky to be part of a family who had such an outstanding son.  I could say "at least that is what I am told" but I can feel the awe and respect these men have for Jason when they talk about him.  He left a legacy that inspires all who knew him to stand a little taller.
Thanks guys for letting me be a part of this special night.  You, as Jared's friends and brothers, are the third greatest thing that ever happened to him! ;)  He loves, respects and is grateful for each of you in his life.
(there I go putting words in his mouth, but I am pretty sure he does feel this way.)

A bowling Adieu.

Kevin Mo, he is my Bro.  He left on his mish to a place I hardly know.
Geneva, Switzerland, French speakin. (europe here I come...in 2 years)
Although the pictures hardly proove so, we went bowling at Fat Cats,
where we put on quite a show.
and now I'm done rhyming.

Basically, we had a fun, crazy kind of time.

Zee Elderrrr heemzelf. (Note my French accent)
You say, wow!  Big family.  I say Wow, the family is starting to get big.
The end.

Numero four.

ANOTHER YEAR?
Goodness.  With this chick, however, four doesn't seem old enough.
As always on birthdays, what ever she says goes.
No pictures of her choice activity, which was Chuck E. Cheeses
with her cousin Tate.  They had fun while
Mom and Dad said, "Great. Now that we know what it's like, we never have to do it again."
Choice dinner meal:  Ice cream.
Happy Birthday, live it up!

Notice the red nightgown (large T-shirt) in the above picture.
Notice the new, pink nightgown in the below picture.
She was happy about that, and so was I.  Much more decent.
Plus, so much blood, sweat and 'aarrgghhs' went into the making
of that pink perfection.

The birthday singing and cake celebration went down at the Farm.

It came, it went, we loved it.   On to the next one.
Thank you everyone who helped make it memorable!

Spring Chickens anyone?

Lucky Us!
Their arrival came to the Post-office just in time for Easter.
Believe you me, the came in this little tiny box, some-at around ~23~ of them.
Kaia got to go with Tutu to pick them up.  She was Ex-cite-ed!  She held one on her lap the whole car ride home.  And yes, the aftermath left poop on her pants.
Poor little frightened chick.
I couldn't believe they came in this cargo.  If I was an animal rights activist...

Oh but those kids, they loved it.  And so did I.
Jason did pretty well not to squeeze the insides out of the poor unfortunates
selected for him to momentarily love.

Note:  They grow F-A-S-T.  And they S-T-I-N-K!

A day at the Farm...

My Parents live on a farm.  We La La La-ve to visit.  For probably the same reasons too:  Free reign, and no worries.  Here are just some of the things we do.

My Mom says every animal there from chicken to dog, eats the cat food.  Well Mother dear, add one more animal to that list.  I ALWAYS find him here...chompin away.

I like to help out with the work where I can.  It gives me something to do...when I want it.
Today we planted a looong row of onions and a looong row of garlic.  About 300 each.
I know, a lot, but they sell shares in the gardening so we plant a lot for a lot of people.

BBQ LOVER

Hmm...maybe he was still hungry...

But wait.  There are still fries on his plate.
He just likes the taste of that BBQ sauce!

Sometimes when it's real quiet...

I start the investigation.
No kids in sight.
I head for the ever alluring pantry door.
I find it closed...
but I'm not fooled.

Surprise!
 That is, I surprise them.
Their actions don't surprise me.

Jason is immediately all smiles while
Kaia knows what's really in store later.

Little Rascals.
Shopping list:
Powdered Sugar
Granulated Sugar
Broom
Big Chocolate Candy bar -instant relaxer

Self Portrait-tition

The kids:  They like to be like the grown-ups.
Hence the many random pictures I enjoy while browsing the camera database.
These were particularly funny cause she has never taken anything of herself...let alone pose for them.

She must be watching Auntie Fattie.

A moment in a Mothers life

When one becomes a parent, it's apparent certain events will occur.
You have but to wonder when and where.
Thursday, February 26th, was one such day for one mother.
Although it looks like a load of hair, the damaging effects weren't as noticeable as the evidence.
A few "Oh!  How sad that makes me!" and "Oh!  You look like a boy!" hopefully cured the itch to ever snip snip again.

SunDay's

Most nights I can't wait till my kids go to sleep cause I get to shed the restrictive clothing and don the cozy sweats.  But Sundays...

                                         IT'S SWEATS ALL DAY!!!
This is the typical scene on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
A good show, a good cuddle buddy and good comfy clothes.

Kaia:  "Mom, someone locked the front door."

Me:  "Oh, I did."
Kaia:  "Mom! You're ruining my life and breaking my heart every time you lock the door!"

...I know it won't be the last time I ruin her life and break her heart...

No. We didn't disappear...

I think it was this time last year I declared myself ill with "Ihatemyblogitis."  Maybe it's the daunting task of filling everyone in about the holiday season. Maybe all the food eaten over the past few months has caught up with me and I have become very slothful.  Maybe...I really hate my blog.
At any rate, here follows a long awaited update.

This year we spent the Christmas Holiday in AZ with the Hoyt's.  We dreamed of warm weather and swimming pools but were glad for the warm jackets and jeans we packed.  While the ground wasn't covered in snow and there was no frosty chill in the air Christmas morn, the occasion rang true to all it has ever been...and more

How lucky we were to be with the whole of the Hoyt family.
 Including everyone's family dog.

Kaia was an Angel for the Nativity...until the cousin playing
Mary got too tired and jumped out of her position.  Kaia waisted no time
in picking up the baby doll and sitting herself right down next to 'Joseph.'

Kaia was convinced her uncle was the real deal.  Jason was convinced he was the real deal too.  A real deal of a strange person with lot's of hair,  while wondering why all the kids were excited about him?
Christmas morn.  Still trying to wake up.

Yeah us! Our little family.  I like it little...

Here we are at home the night we set up the Holiday Express.
Always a highlight.

Yeah, we had a happy Christmas.  Yeah, it went by too fast and
yeah, we can't wait for our tax return
